Ergobyte is a market-oriented eHealth SME operating since 2002 that produces high quality medical software solutions for desktop, server and mobile devices. Its portfolio of commercial products empowers health professionals by assisting them with clinical and pharmaceutical information at the point of care. Its growing customer base comprises healthcare providers, pharmaceutical industry and biomedical research.
Ergobyte's products are all offered as cloud services, exploiting a great number of advantages such as scalability, multiple service models, increased geographic reach, ease of deployment, low maintenance costs, etc. This technology choice poses a number of challenges related to data security and privacy. Over the last few years, Ergobyte implements, continuously monitors and tests end-to-end security policies and measures. Transmission, storage and processing of sensitive patient information is safeguarded in multiple ways, through anonymization, encryption and secure data transfer. In order to prevent malicious attempts to intercept or read data, the Zero Knowledge protocol is applied. It guarantees that no one but the user can read sensitive patient information.
