MITEF Greece has organized in the past 4 “Technologies That Matter” events focusing on Genomics & BiotechRoboticsBig Data and IoT.

For the first time this event will have a half-day duration and will explore the challenges and opportunities of specific Life Sciences’ sectors, that are expected to have unprecedented impact in our society namely:Biotechnology, Medical Devices, and Digital Health. The event assembles top tier entrepreneurs, technologists, venture capitals, angel investors, CEO’s and alike in order to enable, for the first time, an open interaction between the nascent Greek start up community and members of Greek Tech Diaspora that are active in the Life Sciences.

The main objectives are: a) to expose aspiring Greek entrepreneurs interested and active in Life Sciences innovation and entrepreneurship to industry specialist and investors from Europe and the U.S.A., b) to discover promising entrepreneurial activity in this sector and provide them with some initial direction on how to approach their next steps in the global Life Sciences ecosystem, c) to discuss the fundamentals Life Sciences start ups should be working on to successfully achieve the transition from a university group/team/spin-off to a Life Sciences company, and d) to discuss the status, trends and issues relating to innovation and financing within the global Life Sciences industry.
