PharmaGnose S.A. is a supplier of R&D solutions in terms of products and services. We produce and trade a range of plant extracts bsed on the Greek biodiversity, while we undertake R&D projects from our clients that wish to develop final products by incorporating natural ingredients. Our core expertise is based on the knowledge of natural substances and on a multidisciplinary technical platform to leverage this knowledge in active molecule or ingredient discovery for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and agro-food industries. Pharmagnose was founded in 2013 as a spin-off of the University of Athens. Prof. Leandros Skaltsounis who has a 25-year of experience in natural product chemistry and pharmacognosy, envisaged the creation of a modern company that implements his vision for the sustainable utilization of Greek biodiversity and applied natural product chemistry.
Since 2013, Pharmagnose has been established as a reliable provider of state-of-the-art research in natural products. Moreover, through active ingredient discovery we have managed to provide a line of products that fulfill our clients’ needs for their final formulations. Our portfolio fo products include extracts base on olive tree and olive oil (Phyllolea, Oleamed, Phenolio), Greek mountain tea (Montea), rose (Rosanie), saffron flowers (Freur de Saffran), Greek Assyrtiko grapes (Medisanto).
