Hellenic Bio Cluster participated in the 2017 Annual Meeting & General Assembly of the Council of European Bioregions (CEBR) that was hosted by the Toscana Life Science Foundation in Siena from 30 to 31 March.  CEBR is a membership-driven network of Life Science clusters across Europe, with approximately 40 subscription members and hundreds of cluster partners across the world. CEBR represents and supports thousands of SMEs and hundreds of universities and research centres. The objectives of CEBR include:

  • Reduce fragmentation of companies and regions in Europe
  • Improve support for cluster planning and management through sharing good practice and joint initiatives between regions
  • Transform competitiveness into cooperation between regions and clusters
  • Create a profile for European clusters on the world stage

HBio has been a member of CEBR since 2016. During the 2017 Annual Meeting & General Assembly of CEBR, HBio participated in seminars, round-table discussions and site visits at SMEs hosted by the Toscana Life Science Foundation.
